Taking care of your home can be an ongoing process; one that will pay off in the long run as well as make your home life more enjoyable RIGHT NOW! Starting with a couple of small steps and projects at a time makes this TLC feasible for both your schedule and budget. Who knows? You might even enjoy the DIY fun, and find yourself becoming a weekend warrior!

Create space – The majority of people thrive in spacious, open environments. Do your best to create this breathable atmosphere in your home. The extreme to which you choose to take this is up to you – you could begin with opening up windows, rearranging furniture, or even consider renovating to create a more open concept.  Think of storage and organization techniques to reduce the amount of clutter and maximize the ‘usability’ of your home.

Touch Up Landscaping – Boosting curb appeal is easy with a couple of small maintenance steps to your yard. Keep your grass cut short, your lawn weeded, and place fresh mulch on flowerbeds. Invest in a new welcome mat and potted flowers for the front entryway for an extra welcoming touch.  Renting a power washer to remove any grime from the exterior of your home helps your home sparkle the way it deserves to.  Placing lighting along the walkway increase safety and also increases your home’s attractiveness in the evening (think candlelight – but for your home!)

Paint – a fresh coat of paint goes a LONG way – both inside, and outside!

Cut Energy Costs – How are your windows? Replacing them can help halve your utility bills PLUS will increase the value of your home for when you choose to sell.

The most important part? Include your family, and enjoy the process! Contact the Dave Team for any questions you may have – we’re here to help, or point you in the right direction as needed.
